The shipment of pieces for a large German wind farm begins, a constructive “milestone”.
The ship “Rolldock Sea” will transport Daniel Alonso structures, which are completed for immediate installation.
The giant yellow towers that have been standing for a few weeks in the new pier of Valliniello, on the right bank of the river, will embark on a few days in the “Rolldock Sea” -the vessel that has been anchored in front of the coast since the begging of summer-. “With this project Aviles consolidates its position as a key port in the provision of offshore services. It also represents a constructive milestone in the country, as the pieces are completely finalized and ready for its immediate installation”, COORDINADORA INTERNACIONAL DE CARGAS -responsible for the transport logistic of the project-, explained.
The shipment, that will start in the next few days, will be the first of nine. It´s scheduled that by the beginning of 2018 the transport of the 66 transition pieces will conclude, as this structures are called because they serve as a connection between the wind turbine and the base that is anchored to the seabed. The mills, manufactured in the workshops of Idesa and Windar Renewables in the business park, have just been assembled in the docks of Valliniello.
